Ridgway Rentals Sponsor Safety Campaign to help local school children to stand out and be seen on walk to school
Ridgway Rentals are proud to introduce and sponsor St Martins School in a ‘Be Seen, Be Safe’ road safety campaign.
These High Visibility bags were given out to the school Children at St. Martins School on Thursday 22nd September by Tim Jones, Group Chairman.
Not only are the bags ideal for school books or PE kits but the Hi Visibility could prove invaluable for the children as they travel to and from school.
The bright yellow bags were very well received by the children and teachers alike,
Ridgway Chairman & governor to the school, Tim Jones is proud of their long association with St Martins School and says:
“we are very pleased to introduce the Be Seen, Be Safe road safety initiative. The School is in the heart of the village and exists alongside a road which can be very busy, the majority of children walk to school so as the mornings & evenings get darker, we’re hoping the high visibility bags will make the children more visible and remind drivers to slow down and show caution”.
Ridgway Rentals are a nationwide plant hire company based in St. Martins who are always keen to support the school and local community whenever possible.
Local Shropshire Councillor Steve Davenport says “The support of a local company like Ridgway Rentals is particularly welcome when it comes to the safety of our school children.”

Children can Walk or Cycle To School Safely
Sue Lovecy, Head of School says:
“we are very fortunate to have such a community centred company like Ridgway Rentals supporting our school and community. As a school we encourage our students to walk or cycle to school so as the mornings and evenings start to get darker this kind donation will ensure all our students are safe and visible to and from school”.
Hopefully the ‘Be Seen, Be Safe’ campaign will ensure that every child will be able to travel to and from school safely.
