At Ridgway Rentals, we will always endeavour to deliver our plant machinery to even the most difficult and challenging of locations.

Cornwall may offer the most beautiful beaches surrounded by rugged, beautiful scenery, but all those narrow Cornish lanes leading to quaint towns and villages can present many obstacles when delivering large items and you don’t get much larger than a 45 Ton Excavator!

THE CHALLENGE!

Our challenge was to deliver one of our Komatsu PC450 45 Ton Excavators to a Quarry next to Porthoustock beach near the village of St Keverne on The Lizard Heritage Coast.

As with all our deliveries of large plant hire, the route was assessed and, with the offered assistance from the quarry staff, we successfully delivered the 45 Ton machine as requested directly to the quarry – all configured to site requirements and ready to start work.

Skilful manoeuvres through Cornish villages

Our Bully the bullnose truck, proudly adorned in the now famous union jack design, raised quite a few eyebrows as he was skillfully driven through the beautiful villages on route to Porthoustock on the south-east coast of Cornwall.
