RECENTLY SUPPLIED TO NORTH WALES

We recently supplied one of our long reach Excavators to be used in the current project to dredge the harbour in Pwllheli.

Our Komatsu PC240SLF (Super Long Front) has a massive 18-metre reach so is the ideal machine for coastal dredging. With a digging height of 12.860 metres and digging depth of 14.580 metres, this long reach excavator is an incredibly versatile machine with a huge working range.

Our Long Reach Excavator Hire includes 12, 15, 18 & 22 metre reach excavators. All the machines are factory built by Komatsu and have bio oil plus full specification sheets. They are also CE certified which makes them the only machines certified for the environmental agency.

THE PROJECT

The work took place at Hafan Pwllheli, a friendly and popular marina in the heart of the Llyn Peninsular. Pwllheli has always been a popular seaside destination due to its two Blue Flag beaches and wide range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as the regular Wednesday market.

Gwynedd Council developed the publicly-owned harbour to become a large Marina with over 400 berths for vessels up to 80ft. The monitored and dredged channel provides 24-hour access for boats. Plas Heli, the National Sailing Academy and Events Centre is opposite offering toilets, showers and laundry as well as a popular bar and restaurant.
