New safety systems available for all our customers
In our search for site safety, we have recently partnered with X-watch and Leica to provide a suite of safety systems to be made available to all our customers upon request. Many of our machines can already be ordered with Human Form Detection (HFR) and 360 cameras. However our new range of safety systems reduces risk of damage or injury further than ever before.
Improving Site Safety
Managing Director, Stuart Jones explains ‘these systems are essential on today’s construction sites. Anytime you mix people with machinery any risk needs to be minimised as far as possible. These systems allow busy sites to operate while maintaining the highest level of safety and efficiency.
X-watch Slew & Height Restriction
X Watch Height and Slew Restrictor
Slew and Height restriction is now available on all our excavators upon customer request. This system allows the user to pre set height and slew limits and the excavator will not allow the operator beyond these while using the machine. This restriction improves machine safety when operated in confided spaces or when height is limited.
All potential machine high points are monitored. Full power is always available to move away from a limit. Motions are controlled via either hydraulic or electrical control so there is no machine ‘bounce’, overshoot, or undershoot.
Leica GPS Systems
Where safety meets productivity. Our Leica 3DGPS machine control systems allows the operator to move material more efficiently and focus on getting the job done right the first time.
Leica safety systems combines a tag worn by personnel moving around on foot that can communicate with a stand-alone panel inside machines or vehicles on
sites. This alerts the operator of their proximity.
Using GPS means that exclusion zones can be created where heavy machinery simply cannot enter. This keeps staff and other valuable site assets safe.
