The Manitou MT 1440 is a well-proven 14m construction telehandler, widely used on building sites for its simplicity and reliability. With a 4 tonne lift capacity and approx. 13–14 metre lift height, it’s ideal for steel work, trusses, block packs and general site handling duties.

This is a good example of an older machine — pre-DPF and pre-AdBlue — meaning straightforward maintenance and lower running costs compared to modern emission-controlled handlers. Powered by a Perkins diesel engine with torque converter transmission, these models are known for being dependable and easy to repair with readily available parts.

4 wheel drive and selectable steering modes (2WS, 4WS and crab steer) make it very manoeuvrable around tight or uneven sites, while the long wheelbase gives excellent stability when working at height.
